MMC’s Baby Place recently received the Above and Beyond award from The Gift. The Gift Above and Beyond Award recognizes a Gift Designated facility each year that demonstrates a high level of breastfeeding promotion and support and also shows significant improvement in breastfeeding rates over time. We are proud to enhance our maternity care practices and receive recognition for our efforts as we work toward achieving the Baby Friendly USA designation! Huge Thank You to Dana Haynes, Mandi Hart and all of our Labor u0026amp; Delivery and Nursery nurses for setting such high standards of care in Minden.

Becker’s Hospital Review named Minden Medical Center in 2013 among the “100 Great Community Hospitals,” a list based on hospitals’ quality of care and service to community. The hospitals listed have fewer than 550 beds and are often located in rural areas as the only hospitals in their communities. Whether independent or part of a larger health system, the Becker’s 100 Great Community Hospitals have worked with limited resources to continually provide the quality of care and the experience patients expect. 

Minden Medical Center was chosen as one of the “100 Top Hospitals” by Thomson Reuters in 2003, 2009, and 2011. This award signifies achieved excellence in clinical outcomes, patient safety, patient satisfaction, financial performance, and operation efficiency. Only (2) hospitals in Louisiana have received recognition three times.

Minden Medical Center is also part of a select and distinguished group of hospitals in the United States to be designated as a Community Value 100TM and Community Value Five-StarTM Provider for 2010. This accomplishment provides evidence that they are operating efficiently, charging reasonably, and providing high quality services. In addition, they are reinvesting to continue great care in their community.
