Ursula Carlisle, FNP-C, is an experienced family nurse practitioner. A native of rural Northwest Louisiana, she strives to give the best evidenced-based care she can to her rural patients. Practicing since 2018, she is well versed in conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and mental health to name a few. She believes in treating the patient as a whole, placing emphasis on the patient’s individual needs with their shared input.
Ursula obtained her graduate degree from the University of South Alabama before earning her board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner though the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She earned her undergraduate degree from Centenary College of LA where she also played Division 1 Softball and Volleyball.
Ursula has been a member of the adjunct faculty at Louisiana State University in Shreveport (LSUS) for the past 10 years. She was nominated as Nurse of the Year and received the LSUS Outstanding Teacher’s Award. She also recently joined Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) as an adjunct faculty member.
In her free time, Ursula enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is an avid gardener and loves Bible study. She has been married to her loving husband for 16 years and her 2 children (son Jensen and daughter Palmer) have given her the title “best mom ever”. Some of her proudest accomplishments are holding the record for the most home-runs hit in the state of Louisiana in a single season and helping her college softball team win the Mid-Continent Conference.
