Bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge with her, Dr. Michelle Pittman is happy to announce her affiliation with Minden Medical Center as a Board Certified General Surgeon. He practice includes treatment of surgical diseases of the abdomen, such as gallbladder and bowel problems, as well as different kinds of hernias. She performs upper and lower endoscopies to examine the stomach and the colon for digestive tract disorders.
Dr. Pittman finished her medical school training at LSU in Shreveport, followed by a Surgical Residency at LSU and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She completed additional training with a Fellowship in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at the University of Tennessee. Because of her interest in bringing quality surgical care to the areas of need, she has spent the last decade in rural and smaller city settings ranging from Louisiana to Arkansas to New Mexico and Arizona. She continues to teach Advanced Trauma Life Support at LSU in Shreveport.
Having grown up in the small town of Dubberly, Dr. Pittman’s lifelong dream has been to provide quality medical care in the Minden area. She is excited to be part of Minden medical community helping to provide that care.
